Indian Summer and Stuff

It’s a beautiful day here in New Hampshire. Bright skies, warm temperatures and brown and gold leaves. Not bad for November 1st. Indian Summer!
Many people have disparaged the month of November, saying it is a cold, wet, and dismal month. I have often found that the opposite is true. November can be filled with bright clear weather, low humidity, warm days and cool nights. In my book that is nearly perfect weather.
November is also special because of the many people I love that were born in November. As the month progresses, I will share with you all, their birthdays.

I’m still running a little fever. And I look as white as the turtleneck that I am wearing today. I didn’t sleep all that well, coughing, rolling around, achy. I was at a loss as to what was wrong with me. It does not appear to be a cold, but I feel so darn under the weather.
So Hubby suggested I check online about side effects from the flu shot. Most sites will tell you that none are reported, but I got into one at the CDC and found that an infanticimal number of people actually get symptoms resembling the flu! These will show up 24-48 hours after the shot and last a few days.
For those of you who know me well, this just figures.
So I am not terribly worried about the way I am feeling, I am just in a big hurry to feel better.

How many Trick or Treat-er’s did you all have? We had 5. Yep! 5 whole kids who braved our 500 foot driveway to get their candy! They were young teens so I guess the idea of making it down the drive wasn’t too intimidating.

Have a Great All Saint’s Day!!!

  1. I hope you feel better soon! I have never had trouble with the flu shot but definitely know others who have felt “not right” for a few days to a week after they have gotten it.
