Today we were supposed to have a nice rain storm. I say nice because it has been incredibly dry here this spring. As we prepared to go out to grocery shop we threw our rain coats in the car and even shut down all our computers, anticipating thunder, lightening and rain.
As we drove along in the car, we had perhaps three drops of rain before the sun came out! Although it was cloudy for a lot of the day, and spit a bit, it never really did rain.
We need the rain. We have a fire on a nearby mountain that’s been burning for almost a week. A nice hard rain would surely help the fire-fighters.
So, I’m hoping overnight that it may rain some. Can you imagine how wonderfully my garden will grow with a little gift of water from the Heavens?
oh that’s not good! Hope that fire gets put out and soon!
If I could I would send you ALL the rain who comes down here all the time and you could send me your sunshine ! It’s not right !!

Maribeth, i’m with you in wishing for the rain. it’s been teasing each day, getting cloudier and darker then the sun bursts through and nothing comes of it. at this point i’ll be happy being stuck in the house with a day or two of showers.
We get all the rain over here. I’m just glad it isn’t raining today. My daughter had a geography trip in to the nearby village to do a traffic survey and look at the surrounding area. It would have been miserable in the rain.
I am missing rain terribly too and I know it won’t rain here no matter how hard I pray for it! 🙂
Ohhhhhh I wish I could send you some of OUR rain! We have been inundated with it! We’re under coastal flood warnings and everything! Of course, we’ve been having TORRENTIAL downpours… not nice soft gentle rains. OUR rain would wash your garden away!
