Cell Phone Madness!

My mission today was to get my cell phone dilemma solved! For the last few weeks, no months, my phone was slowly dying. In fact, have any of you ever tried to call another cell phone and get a busy signal? And do you drop calls all the time? Or experience crackling and then a dead call? Yes, these are all the things I have been putting up with until I could clear some time and drive the 45 miles south to our local Cell Phone Provider.

I didn’t know what to expect…a new phone…high prices…a lot of guff? I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service that I got.

I arrived and was the second person in line for service. My name was called and a very nice young man named Robert helped me. He checked my dropped calls and tested the phone and found that my LG ENV3 was defective. He brought out a new one and programmed it for me, and off I went.

Wow, easy!

However, I am a little paranoid about it. You see I had a succession of LG ENV2’s before they gave up and upgraded me to the ENV3. Five of them to be exact!

I’m starting to think that my electrical weirdness with computers is spilling over to cell phones!

That’s a scary thought!

  1. YAY for you!!! Ihope it all works well from here on in!

I went and spoke with my ISP today, explained my problems, and had them perplexed as to whats wrong! I also explained what I have done and where I had been without any issues. So the remedy? Call the Tech line when I get home and arrange for a tech guy to come out and install a new modem!!! Oh well, never a dull moment!

  2. Hi Mom,

Sorry I didn’t get back to you yesterday. Lots of packing and cleaning for me! I did manage to make bbq chicken and homemade baked mac and cheese for dinner last night, which was fabulous!

Hope you have a great day! I’m on my official countdown–only 4 work days, and 6 days until I move! 🙂

  3. I have a thing with watches. They just don’t seem to work for very long once they are placed on my wrist! Love YOU, Mel

  4. Yikes. Sounds like a bit too much bad luck! Very tiresome indeed! I’m crossing my figers… and toes… that this will work like a clockwork!

  5. A 45 miles drive to fix your cellphone – hmmm – sounds, well, not very convienent if you ask me.
But I’m happy you got your problem fixed;)
