Our host is Gattina. Come join us and tell us what YOU did this past weekend! After all, you never know when you will need an alibi!
***************
The weekend was a good one, as far as being productive. Laundry was done, cooking was done, cleaning was done and I can actually say that last night when I went to bed I was really exhausted. I dropped onto the bed, careful not to smoosh a dackel, and when my head hit my pillow, I was gone!
And that was just on Saturday!
On Sunday I finished my report (5 full pages Eeeeek!), and then set about cooking a Sauer Braten, red cabbage and then an apple crisp for dinner.
I did try to read my book without a magnifier, but alas, I will have to go out tomorrow and buy one of the full page readers. I can tell that I will really enjoy this book. Already the prologue has me!
Autumn winds are blowing and it is cool and gray. Yes, I think that we have past through summer and are well on our way to naked trees!
We watched “Sabrina” last night with Audrey Hepburn! What a splendid movie, and she was so beautiful! We’ve been watching a lot of old movies lately due to the fact that there is very little on TV that we actually enjoy! Most of it is crap! What do you think of the new shows?
How do you control yourself when you make such wonderful meals? I love love Red Cabbage and Sauerbraten! I bet your hubby was happy you made that.
Have a good week!
I love the old Sabrina…the new one with Julia Ormond was a pretty good remake too. I’ve never cooked Sauerbraten but I do love to eat it : ) Have a nice week!
Sounds like a good weekend for you! Mine was so busy and I really didn’t feel well. I am glad the sun is out and I intend on getting some vitamin D while I take a walk with Lisa. We’ll check out the Halloween House too!
Love YOU, Mel
I would never consider laundry, cooking, and cleaning as productive thing, lol ! it’s just a necessity which I do because it has to be done. But watching old movies that’s what I like too. Audrey Hepburn was a real beauty, did you know that she was born in Brussels ?
Sounds like a productive weekend. Not to thrilled with the new shows. Starting to get into PanAm, getting to know the characters. I have enjoyed A Gifted Man and Person of Interest seems to be okay.
