Friday found me attending a meet-n-greet for Texas Governor, Rick Perry’s wife. Mrs. Perry is a really nice person, who spoke well, and really charmed everyone in attendance. Heck, too bad she is not running for office, I would definitely vote for her!
From left to right is yours truly, Mrs Perry and our State Senator and my friend, Jeanie Forrester.
I’ve never been one to publicly endorse or proclaim who I am voting for. In fact, I am still unsure at this point who I will vote for in our Primary, but I do enjoy meeting new people.
I saw many old friends, made a few new ones and met many young kids who are working on the campaign. We also had two handsome Secret Service Agents protecting Mrs Perry. I was glad they were there, but isn’t it a shame we need that sort of protection? I mean, it’s sad that people can’t behave in a civil manner, when they disagree.
I’ll let you know if I attend any other events! Have a good weekend!
well, how very neat-o!!! 🙂 I too am not sure who I’m voting for as of yet; however, I’m thankful for Rick Perry’s conservative views & strong stands on issues of family values. Still not sure if he’s “my man” … but neat to know that his wife is worth voting for! LOL!!
Nice photo! Love YOU, Mel
Now that sounds like a fun time!
It’s good to see young people getting involved in politics.
In regard to your post on my blog re your almost child. Several times my girl’s mom said she was moving to another state. I remember one time when baby was about 4 months old, and the mom called. I was giving baby her midnight bottle while rocking her and praying and crying. It almost broke my heart, but mom’s plans fell through. When she was away from me, I had confidence that God would protect her. She chose not to follow her mother’s path, and became a wonderful woman.
