I took a big step. I taught myself how to strip Greta’s ears. Now I know there are some of you sitting there thinking, what’s so tough about stripping the ears of a Rauhhaardackel (wire-haired dachshund), ? Well, there are no books here, or guides. I’m sure if I were back in Germany I could find a millions books on the subject (all written in German, I’m sure), but here in New Hampshire, there are none to be found, zero, zip, zilch!
I looked at books, pictures, went to web sites of champion dackels, and then just sat down and started working. Greta was not thrilled, but she was patient and she allowed me to work. They look pretty good, not perfect, but good for a first attempt.

I have the same question as e.
Actually, maybe just define stripping when it comes to dogs. A friend was recently telling me how her brother strips his Airedale and I just pretended to know what she was talking about.
Or you could’ve called your cousin, who went to grooming school and could’ve looked thru her stripping books…
