Thirteen Things I Love About September
1. The cooler air temperatures.
2. The drier air.
3. The first frost is usually during this month.
4. The leaves begin to turn color. Red, orange, yellow, russet. All beautiful and bright.
5. The smell of wood fires burning in the hearth.
6. Fresh apple cider.
7. Apples for eating and for baking!
8. The kids go back to school and the neighborhood is quiet during the day. Then they come home and I look forward to that too!
9. The tourists leave our area and life slows down.
10. My best friends birthday is this month, as well as her grandson’s.
11. The German Dog show is this month.
12. We’re going to DC for an Army Reunion.
13. The last of the produce comes in. Pumpkins, butternut squash and the pears.
I love your list! Cooler temps are great- I love fall and spring. The change in the air just gets me going! The leaves changing are beautiful… something I never saw until the my husband and the Navy brought us to the north. And the apples, pumpkins and fantastic fall yummies, ahh.
Ohh, my list is kind of similar – I am looking forward to the crisp air for sure and all the apples!!
I don’t like September at all ! It already smells automn. Automn and winter are the worst months. Years ago I suffered seasonal depressions (now gone) and it was always from September till end April. So I would rather erase these months !
Love them all I wish we had cooler temps here no hope for below 90 till Oct and below 80 till Nov
Ohhhh, first pumpkins seen on a blog this season! I love september because august is too hot! I want to wear a sweater, shoes and a scarf 🙂

1. FOOTBALL STARTS! 2. September baseball! GO SOX!! 3. Convertible riding with a jacket or sweatshirt
4. Softball playoffs 5. FOOTBALL STARTS!
6. The smell of fall and dried leaves 7. Wearing sweaters and jeans comfortably 8. Fall sunsets 9. FOOTBALL STARTS! 10. Leaves changing 11. Labor Day weekend = a wee bit of time off work! 🙂 12. Having friends over on Sundays 13. FOOTBALL STARTS!

I noticed lots of leaves on the ground driving to work this morning…I’m looking forward to the off season at the beach, so Max & Wolf can run there again!
I am pulling out my pumpkin spice candle today! I am also craving caramel apples and a quick jump in a pile of leaves! Not enough leaves yet, but they are falling earlier this year I noticed.

Not sure where you are from, but we won’t see any of this in September. Maybe the end of October… It’s till hotter than the blazes here. Have a great TT and enjoy the coming of fall. 🙂
Enjoy the fall weather. There is no rush for fall here this year – just a gentle melting of one season into the next.
