The Day After…

It was back to reality today after all the planning of our anniversary celebration, and then the actual enjoying of it.

Hubby went off to ski in what will probably be his last ski day of the year. Heavy rain is forecast for this weekend, and the areas are all closing on Sunday.

Meanwhile I stayed home with the fur kids doing laundry, and tidying up the house. You know, the usual stuff.

It was absolutely glorious today. Bright sunshine, warm temperatures, and blue skies. It gave me hope that spring is on it’s way. The tulip bulbs I planted last year are poking through the snow, and things are actually MELTING!!!

Greta is nearing the end of her heat and will be out of her sexy little panties by tomorrow. Then it’s just a matter of three more weeks until we find out if she is expecting or not. I have a feeling that she is, but it’s just a vague sort of feeling. (Probably just me hoping!)

I’m going to put up my feet tonight and watch some mindless TV. Tomorrow I am cooking Hubby his favorite Sauer Braten (German spiced pot roast). It’s my family’s recipe, straight from Mülheim an der Ruhr where my Papa and his family came from!

  1. I hope that you (Greta) have more luck at concieving than we are having at the moment… L has just had a second failed IVF treatment…

Doing another treatment in 2 weeks time though!

Glad that you had a good anniversary though!!!

  2. That’s a long time I haven’t eaten Sauerbraten ! I think the last time at least 20 years ago at my cousin’s, she lives near Frankfurt so it is 600 km from Brusssels. My Grandma used cook it too. It’s of course nothing for my Italian husband, lol ! Tomorrow the cocktail party starts at noon we will be around 12 people ! Today I played “Hamster” and took home everything I had ordered at a catering service. (cold plates)
