A Day In The Life

I climbed into the puppy box today to sit with my grand-puppies, and found there was barely room for me! They are getting so big! They also are moving around a lot now that they can see and hear. For instance, Baron loves Uncle Arnie, and when he sees him standing next to the whelping box, he works his way over to the edge of the pool and looks up lovingly at Arnie! It is the cutest thing!

Anyway, as I sat there, holding Baron I suddenly felt something warm and wet on my hands, leg and stomach. Yes, Baron pee-ed on me!

I just laughed and once I got done cuddling, I got up and went in to change my clothes and wash up!

I’d arranged for my sister to meet my Magical Margarita! She is the woman who dips my hair in the fountain of youth and fills me with youth and vitality!!

Margarita took Melodie and laid her hands on her head and voila!

I love it so much that I stood there and cried with happiness!

Mom then took us girls out for a lovely lunch at my favorite restaurant, Canoe. We had such a nice meal, enjoyed every moment, and then after went to The Old General Store for a little shopping!

Melodie and my Mom leave tomorrow for their home 4 hours south of here. I will really miss having them around!

  1. Saw you guys at the Hananford the other day, waved but you guys were getting in the car. Jayden ended up in the ER the other night and is doing better today, still all congested though. Glad you had a wonderful visit with your mom and sister, and a nice meal at Canoe, yummmm:-) I can’t believe how fast the puppies grow, too cute. Talk soon!

  2. I LOVE Melodie’s new do!! She looks so Great. I think it moved the clock back about 15 years on her. Glad you are having a good time with the family “girls”
    Hugs,
    Trish

  3. Those puppies are growing at an alarming rate! They are so sweet.

Your sister looks much younger after the hair dip. It looks very pretty. So far I haven’t had to color and wonder if mine will stay dk brown forever. 😉

btw-I thought I left a message that there is a little something on my blog for you. I posted it Sunday.

  4. Love the makeover pics! Please pass on to Mel that she looks fabulous!! 🙂

Glad to hear you are having a nice time! Wish I could have joined for the Canoe trip. I would love some sweet and sour calamari! 🙂

    Have a great day,

  7. Darling,

My friend Anna Lena and me and the dogs are planning a trip to the White Mountains this weekend. Saturday that is. Wondering if we should stop by and say hi to the pups and you and explore your area a bit..there ARE mountains around there, yes?

    Are you around and available?

    Ulli

  8. Thanks Everyone for the nice comments on my new look! I feel at least ten years younger.
Now to see if my family likes it when they see me in person later today.
I can tell you those pups are by far the cutest little babies ever! I had so much fun visiting them and My Sister too! I miss everyone already and I just got home. Love and thanks to my sis! Love YOU, Mel

  9. Beautiful hair!!!! It looks absolutely natural too. The sisterly resemblance really stands out now. Sounds like you guys all had a great visit. The puppies are adorable, as always!

  10. Good job on your sisters hair!! And I can’t believe the puppies are getting so big!! They are adorable, and glad Uncle Arnie is getting to visit the family a bit now.

  11. You tellin’ me this is the FIRST time one of those puppies has pee’d on you? WOW! That’s gotta be a record or something!

Mel’s hair looks really good — but the important thing is – is SHE happy with it? Cuz when I dyed my hair I didn’t like it at all. I didn’t feel like ME, and my hair didn’t feel SOFT anymore. It felt like straw. No more dye for me! I won’t mind being gray though when it happens.

  12. That makeover is FABULOUS!!!

Can I make an appointment, please??

Sorry to hear about all the ‘peeing’ that’s happening, but I suppose, its all par for the course…

  13. OH, my goodness….your sister looks fabulous! Not that she didn’t in the first photo, but wow, where did those 10 years go? That Margarita certainly is magical with color.
That restaurant sounds great…..Center Harbor. By any chance, is that where Patternworks yarn shop is, do you know? Seems my girlfriend from Salem goes there when she’s in that area and I order my yarn from them on the Internet.
I LOVE the pup’s eyes open! SO pretty.
