I decided today to make a lovely meal for Hubby. He’s a good guy, and he really enjoys my cooking, so since I had gotten a small roast beef recently, I would roast that up especially for him.
Now you know, I can eat 3 ounces of this roast beef, which is really great, because it smells simply heavenly as it is cooking! How did I prime the roast? I frosted it with Poupon Mustard, sprinkled it with Thyme and Rosemary, and then sliced up an onion and using toothpicks, I attached these slices to the roast. They will brown up and get a bit crunchy, but they will be totally yummy, on the plate next to the slices of beef.
As I was sitting here thinking about this, I suddenly burst into great laughter! Why? Well, I may be a member of Weight Watchers now, but the truth of it is…I will always be a member!
You see, I love food. I love to cook it. I love to eat it. I love writing about it and talking about it! Oh yes, I will always be a member of Weight Watchers or I fear I will end up right back where I started three years ago.
I think when I reached goal before and was celebrated as “Lifetime” I somehow thought I’d recovered from having a weight problem. The truth of it is, I will always be a recovering over-eater. I’m just lucky that we have Weight Watchers and that this program works for me.
I guess it’s all about balance, isn’t it?
I think I should really try your restaurant, lol !
You know the weight goes also with the age. Until 35 my weight was 59/60 kgs, then I went up to 65 kgs until maybe I was 55, then suddenly I put on weight but as I am tall (1.72m) nobody really realized it and I reached 80 kg !!! I thought my doctor’s balance was broken ! In a very short time I lost 5 kgs to 75 but it took much longer to get to 70 kg ! that was in 2005. Now I can try whatever I want from eating only apples or eating normally I never reached my goal of 65 kgs ! The farest I got was 68 !! But when I look in the mirror and also what people tell me I am happy now with my 70 kgs and don’t do anything anymore. Sometimes during the holidays I go up to 73 kg but as soon as I am back home I loose it again. I don’t do anything special now, I eat normally but not greasy, I hate that. No creams and no butter ! I prefer olive oil or sunflower oil.
I also think a skinny minnie all wrinkled looks not nice either !
WW is really, really great! When I was in 7th or 8th grade Mom and Dad went on that and I learned from them what to eat etc. and lost the extra weight I was carrying. Since then I eat like that all the time.
but truth be told, I don’t like cooking too much and I am happy with nuts and berries, cheese, fruit and veggies.
Love YOU, Mel
I have been thinking about joining WW. I hear so many good things about it. One of the women who came over the other day to visit with me and see my tree has been with WW for about 2 years. I hardly recognized her, so lot about 150 pounds and looks wonderful.
