Monday was shopping day here at the Dackel Princess household. But the big question was what to do with either Arnie or Anneliese? Anneliese is getting close to being in the prime part of her heat. In a day or so I will have to break out the big crate for my poor Arnie, as he won’t be able to contain himself, but right now he’s still pretty good. I just can’t completely trust him. I wouldn’t breed Anneliese until about day 11 or 13, but it is possible to make puppies earlier so…
Arnie, lusting after his sister.
What fun it was to take Arnie for a ride today in the car while we did our grocery shopping. Since it was cold, we put Arnie in his adorable little sweater. He was an absolute angel! He watched the world go by, enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine, and gave me a ton of kisses.
At one point when we finished the shopping and came out to the car, he was sound asleep on the front seat! I mean, how cute is that, right?

Oh poor Arnie…My dog “Carlos” is getting mad, if we have a Dog in heat in our area…
Have you ever thought about a castration????
Love,
Sybille
Our Nico is looking for love too. He loves to “ride” his pet doggie toy, but I think we´ll have to search for a new love for him.
Glad you got Arnie´s mind off of his sister and gave him a good day out.
He just looks so adoring of his sister! The poor frustrated boy!!!
Glad he at least got to have some fun today!!
It’s off to the doctor for me in few minutes. Love YOU, Mel
What a torture for poor Arnie ! Usually people have their male dogs castrated if they are not “used” for breeding, otherwise they can run away and it’s amazing what a dog can do to get his target ! I once had a St. Bernarddog climbing over our fence to get to my little Bianca ! he would have had technical difficulties anyway because she was too small for him and she was spayed !! Imagine !
Poor boy. 🙂
I couldnt get onto your Blog yesterday for the whole day. Don’t know what happened,….
Hello! I’m visiting from Joyce’s blog! Nice to “meet” you! We love dachshunds! We have a 10 year old long-haired named Maddie. Great answers…and I believe in the power of prayer, too!
