Usually I follow Joyce, with her Wednesday Hodgepodge, but since she is suffering from severe jet-lag this week, she is taking a spring break. So here is another random free thought type of post.
I was handed a very large packet of things to read in one week, including a 40 page report. I’m not thrilled about it, as I have a problem with reading. However, I know that in the real world, reports are reports and I better suck it up!
So I need to put my Kindle down, turn off the TV, and computers, and sit in a silent room and work through these, somewhat dry pages.
I had gotten a Kindle Fire from my cousin and Hubby for my birthday last November. Now I am a reading maniac! However, I can adjust the font size, and let’s face it, “The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo” is a whole lot more interesting that my work documents!
Why, oh why, can’t I find a job that pays me to read things on my Kindle?
For those of you who may be new to my blog, I have had retinal detachments in both eyes, cataract surgery in both eyes, lens replacement, and then 6 surgeries in my left eye to clear the vision. My eyes, simply put, have been beat up a bit with all the cutting and stitching.
I am grateful to have vision, but it is not easy to read small fonts. I think perhaps, I’ll just get a job greeting people at Walmart! They wouldn’t make me read small fonts, would they?
My eyes are so dry now that after reading for a short time I have to go put drops in. I love to read, but the dryness not only feels icky, but it blurs my vision and makes my headache. I do have a kindle and I love it!
Hope you get through all that reading! Love YOU, Mel
I’m spoiled with the large font option on the kindle too. I haven’t had the issues you’ve had to face but my eyesight is not what it used to be and I love making the print big on the kindle. Happy Easter!
Can you scan it in, email it to yourself and read it on the Kindle that way?
