Well, I need spinal surgery. I met with the surgeon, who seemed very nice, but told me that it would be about 6 weeks until he could do this.
Um, I’m thinking it would not be a good thing to wait six or more weeks, taking heavy painkillers and basically not able to move very much.
I feel like crying. Both from the pain and from the frustration. I said to Hubby, that perhaps I should call my Rheumatologist and ask his opinion. I will do that in the morning.
Meanwhile, I’m hanging in there and hoping that it will work out, one way or another.

Good idea to check with your other doctor. Maybe he knows someone he can recommend who can do it sooner and is also a great doctor too like the ones you have seen so far. Love YOU, Mel
Six weeks? That is crazy! They expect you to deal with the pain and discomfort for six weeks? Wow. I hope you can find someone to do it sooner. Really sorry to read this.
Oh dear, so sorry for the wait. I do know how critical it is to have the right surgeon. Everything is so super specialized now. I will be praying for you and that perhaps a slot will open up and you can be moved ahead on the schedule. Take care.
Sorry for the wait period on the surgery! My husband had to wait four months for his neck surgery! That was after they said it needed to be done as soon as possible!
