I’m waiting…

I’m waiting. Not patiently either. Just waiting.

What am I waiting for?

Greta to go into heat. It could be any day now and then the real excitement begins. The breeding (yes, we will use Bernie again. He was such a good Papa to the pups and made beautiful babies!) and then counting down the days until the puppies arrive!

Every day I get up and look at Greta. Does she look like she is retaining fluid? Is she acting a little PMS-ish? Is she being quieter than usual?

I’m telling you, it’s driving me nuts!

At least one thing is for sure. Greta is enjoying the extra attention. She is quite a “Dackel Princess”!

Meanwhile the diet continues. I found a recipe for WW Chili and I made it tonight for dinner. WOW! Was it good. Hubby really enjoyed it and even had seconds. I just love finding a recipe that works out like this…tasting good.

Today’s menu looked like this:

1/2 cup of skim milk
1/2 a grapefruit
coffee

Snack
1 Weight Watchers Yogurt

Lunch
Big salad with thinly sliced chicken
diet salad dressing

Snack
1 orange! Yum!!

Dinner
Weight Watchers Chili! Double Yum!!! (will share the recipe is anyone wants it)

Snack
1 WW ice pop

Also tons of water…I feel like I am floating away!

  1. Here is another reciepe for you…

In 2 tbl spoons of oil, brown off an onion, diced.

125grams of chicken breast per person, thrown into browned onions. Cook until brown.

2 tbl spoons (or more to your taste) of Soy sauce. You can go the light Soy if you can find it, but the normal is ok. I have a really nice strong flavoured one, and one with mushrooms which is also quite nice.

1 400ml can of Evaporated Milk at the end and stir through. Take care here so as NOT to let it seperate.

On the side, boil up enough pasta (I can’t remember if it is 65grm/person though) and cook JUST SHORT of aldante. Drain and put into frypan/wok with Chicken & just after the Evap Milk is heated through. The sauce will now thicken and serve with your choice of Vegetables.

From memory, this is about 5.5 points per serve, and if you want to add a bit of ‘heat’ to it, when the onions are browning off in the oil, using cracked pepper to taste!

  2. I only can say this post is not very romantic, lol ! If people don’t know that you talk about a dog, it’s sounds quite funny to read : Greta is in heat (instead in love) and “use” Barnie to make babies ! Hahaha, I really had a good laugh with that this morning !
Don’t be so impatient, it will come, lol!
