I knew I wasn’t going to be able to keep up the incredible weight loss numbers I have been chalking up. I knew eventually it would come to an end.
This week I was probably not as conscientious as I have been, and it showed. I did not lose any weight. In fact I gained 1 pound. I was upset at first, but then I started to think about it and I decided that I am human.
It wasn’t that I cheated, I just made some poor choices in my snacking. Instead of fruit I had Weight Watcher snacks, which are okay, but not in the amount I was eating them.
So I am recommitting myself to the plan, and going forth tomorrow with a tremendous sense of renewed energy!
I can do this!
(It’s just going to take me an extra week!)
As long as you continue on, that’s what matters! I’m proud of you 🙂
I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself, but I think you’re doing that already 🙂
You’ve put your finger on the most difficult part of weight loss, I think: not thinking “I’ve slipped up a little so I have clearly failed. To heck with it, I’ll just dive into this container of ice cream!” Well done for remaining sane in the face of one measly pound, mocking you. And we all know it could just be water, don’t we?
I have no doubt that you’ll do just fine Maribeth. One pound isn’t much. Just hang in there and keep hugging your doggies!!
Hi Mom,
I agree with you, and all of your posters, that your attitude is right, and this diet/lifestyle makeover is not an overnight goal…. We are both in it for the long haul, and that will mean some good weeks, and some bad weeks for us both. I’m fully going into Superbowl Sunday with the idea that I am not dieting that day, so next week might be my bad week (I will work out extra hard and diet all the other days and see what happens!)
Be proud of what you have accomplished thus far–cumulative weight loss!! 🙂
Love you lots,
Mandy
dont worry, it was probably something salty you ate. I found that I am an every other week loser, and I’ll take that!
Don’t stress – stay human – and you will even live longer 😆
Well, that is part of being ‘human’… being able to see where there is a ‘hic-up’ and plan your way around it…
If you do not lose the goal you have set (kilos/pounds) then you will get there. If you do lose sight of that goal, then chances are, you will put back on what you have lost, and a bit extra…
So DO NOT lose sight of your goal!
