Today was spent walking dogs, shopping for a few last minute items (never did find a stuffed dackel toy!) and going over to Sigge and Sybille’s for coffee. It was interesting on all accounts.
First I loved meeting Sigge and Sybille and their daughter Elise, as well as their dog, Carlos. As you can see Carlos knew a dog person when he saw one and he spent a lot of time lying next to me and in my lap! What a sweet boy he is.
Shopping was futile as far as the ever elusive toy dackel went. We visited several shops but did not find one German Shepherd or dackel! What did we find? All things Disney! We did stop for lunch and had an ice cream and that was great!
Wednesday I will attend a local Weight Watchers meeting. I am looking forward to seeing what their meetings are like here. I will say one thing, there are many more Weight Watcher foods in the grocery stores. It is fun and sort of a game I play checking out each grocery store to see what items they carry.
I got word that my father has been admitted back into the hospital. Sadly he is in very poor health and I think perhaps he will not come home after this.
Anneliese would like nothing more than to go back and visit Isagrim! She has been so cute showing me her desire for him. It makes me laugh. I will know in a month if there are little babies in her tummy!
I can hardly wait!
I can hardly wait too!!
Your stay in Germany sounds wonderful.
Enjoy your day today too.
((Hugs))
I am very curious too Grandma or not ?? Will be the suspense of the next weeks !
I see you really enjoy your holidays !
I’m sorry to hear that your father is not doing well. He’ll be in my thoughts.
Prayers for you and your father. It sucks to have someone you love sick. And it sucks even more when you can’t be there. Lots of love, Kristin
Hi Mom,
I will keep my fingers crossed for Anneliese! How exciting! I meant to send a thank you from M and I too, for the Dunkins gift cards! I have been a little broke this week, and have been using it quite frequently! 🙂 Thanks again!
This week finds me trying to pick between two job opportunities. One is with a very stable and rather large company, and one is with a more young company that is currently quite stable, but I know how things tend to go with biotech. You just never really know. They are both great opportunities, and I feel lucky to have any choice at all with a market like this, but feel very conflicted. The larger company (over 1000 employees) is a more formal atmosphere, but they have great employee programs, etc. The smaller company (120 employees) is a very friendly atmosphere, lots of young people, and all of the employees I have met with (almost 20! in 2 interviews) are all so happy to be there). I expect an offer from the larger company today (it is drafted already), and hope for an offer from the smaller group by the end of the week. I think I will be giving my notice by Friday….
Can’t wait to catch up once you are back!
Lots of love,
Mandy

I love the design of that room you’re in…the curtains are beautiful!
And in the shot with the ice cream, it looks so chichi, then I noticed the graffiti outside!
And…about your Dad…(((MB)))
I can see that you’ve had a lovely stay there – and Anneliese too, meeting her husband and falling in love 🙂
They’re a handsome couple indeed!!! Beautiful puppies will come, I’ll swing my magic wand to help on the way… *giggles*
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad, I know how it feels like. *sigh*
