Friday’s Happenings

Friday was such an emotional day. Taking Anneliese to the Vet’s and seeing the babies on the x-ray, makes it all so real. In another week they will be here and then the fun begins!

We also went out after lunch to see the movie “Doubt”. It’s with Meryl Streep. I will tell you, it is a very well done movie, and Meryl Streep is totally fabulous in her part as usual! I wasn’t really looking forward to the movie, but in the end, I admit I enjoyed it!

A dear friend of mine passed away this week. It was sudden and unexpected. She was a young woman, pregnant with twins. She was happy and full of life and the promise that the future held for her and her husband. Rest in peace, dear Louise with your little angel babies!

Now the week is over. Next week at this time we will be awaiting the arrival of the puppies. New life. Sweet life.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. My goodness, I check to see what the puppy news is and there are such bittersweet posts. So sorry to hear about your friend and so pleased for you about the puppies.

  2. I’m so sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Louise…and with her twin angels. I was so excited to see Anneleise’s pups though! I’ve never ever seen a newborn puppy or kitty, but my gosh that xray brought me right with you in anticipation for the puppies!! Do you have names picked out already??

  3. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend and her babies. Life is so short as it is. Maybe I’ll skip the nap this afternoon and go out to the botanic gardens to see the abundance of flowers there.

  4. Maribeth,
this is very hard to comment, and you know why: Your friend.. I can hardly see my keyboard, it’s so sad, no words, so meaningless.

  6. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Its always so shocking when someone passes like that. This situation sounds so sad too because she was pregnant.

I just can’t wait for the puppies to come. I even blogged about them on my blog.
