What I Did This Past Weekend

Miss Marple 2

Our host is Gattina. Come join us and tell us what YOU did this past weekend! After all, you never know when you will need an alibi!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m afraid that this past weekend was not full of anything particularly interesting. In fact, I think you could say that it was fairly dull around here.
We did have a wonderful fire in the hearth and the dogs all took turns lying down in front of it, with the exception of Fritz. He dislikes the snapping sound that the wood makes, and so if there is a fire, Fritz is in our bedroom hiding!
Hubby went skiing on Sunday, and worked on some of his paper work on the other days. He also took his fair share of naps!
I cooked wonderful meals of Brook Trout, that had been caught by my cousin Janet’s boyfriend, Dave. The Trout were so wonderful and reminded me of summer!
We also have no snow. Well, perhaps no snow is me being a little dramatic, but we have almost no snow and that’s nearly as bad.
They claim that we will have a big Nor’easter on Wednesday, but so far “they” have been wrong about our forecasts and we still have almost no snow.
We will see!
  1. We got snow on Friday…our previous snow had nearly melted but we added a few inches so we’re white again. We’re supposed to get snow on Wed too but I’m hoping they’re wrong. I’m supposed to go into the city that day and my plans will be cancelled if it snows.
    Have a nice week!
  2. Hhmmmm,trouts ! that’s my favorite fish, especially when it just comes out of the river !
    I read : He also took his fair share of Schnaps! and had to laugh.
  3. Glad you enjoyed the trout…I’m pretty sure Dave has more in his freezer from his last trip with Keith in October, if you’d like some!
  4. nothing at all wrong with having a ‘nap’ here and there, NOR is there anything wrong with having a quiet weekend every once and a while either!
    And the lack of snow does look depressing… But at least, its better than the floods here in Australia… Queensland is getting hit real bad…
  5. I wasted my weekend, didn’t do much of anything and I haven’t made any progress today! The pups look so cute outside in the snow.
