I gave the three dackels dingo bones this morning. They each went off to chew their bones, but Greta wasn’t feeling well so she just sat next to hers. Soon Anneliese stole the bone from her. Greta did not care, but Arnie knew that Anneliese had stolen the bone and he began to follow her all around the house, barking at her.
She decided to drive Arnie crazy. She jumped up into the chair next to me and then she tucked the bone with her two front paws under her chest! Then I swear to you, she stuck that needle nose of hers in the air!
You can just see the bone peeking out between her two paws!
You can see how she tormented her brother, Arnie. Every time he got close she would snarl at him, “Get Away!”.
This lasted for over an hour. Poor Arnie was making us all crazy with his fussing and barking. Then Anneliese heard a truck drive down the street and she leapt to go and see what the noise was and Arnie dove in and stole the bone from her! But he was smart. He quickly ate the bone up and the little game was over!
I just love these dogs!
Your dackel pictures are getting better and better ! They look so lifely as if they could jump through the sceen amongst my cats ! Imagine what would happen !
I don’t know what happened on my cat blog, I just repaired it !
This morning when I opened the stores it was all white ! It had snowed again ! I am fat up, I thought it was over and now I am getting a nervous breakdown ! How can you survive such a lot of snow ?? I would get crazy !!

It is sO funny how much personality they have — and they KNOW so much! You know… we have the two cats… and sometimes they get along and “play” wrestle — but other times they actually fight! And Jewl (the dog) knows the difference! They can play wrestle all day long if they want – but the minute it turns into a real fight, Jewl is right on top of them breaking them up! She will NOT have unrest in her home!

Amazing how dogs, and cats to some degree, can be so… playful! Not to mention forgetful… Guarding a bone, hears a truck forget the bone, there might be a visitor!!!

I just adore your doggie stories. This sounds like our house with Duncan and Brie…she is such a pain at times. Takes toys away from Duncan and he just stands there, looking sad but would never confront her or be assertive. She’s his little “sister” and he allows her to do things like this.
And people say dogs can’t think? Anneliese knew exactly what she was doing!
