Sleep?

Monday was a nice low key day. I sure needed it. You see since the puppies were born, Anneliese has been getting me up early, or in the night and I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep. This morning was no exception. At 5:15 she woke me up with sweet kisses and snuggles.

Well, I love the girl. She is my baby, but I also need my beauty rest! So today I took the bed out of the puppy room, and replaced it with a recliner. This gives me a place to sit and recline during the day with Anneliese, and then at night I will sleep in my own bed.

We also left the puppies for 1-1/2 hours to go out to eat for Hubby’s birthday. All was fine when we returned, but I still worried the entire time.

Now that we are past Hubby’s birthday, it is back to being on a strict Weight Watchers diet. It’s not that I have gained a lot (some), but I need to get myself back on track.

The rest of the week is easy with only a visit to the fountain of youth for my hair. Aside from that, I am home with all my babies! Just where I want to be!

  1. I hope you got some rest last night! I didn’t sleep well, but mostly I am sleeping better lately. Love YOU, Mel

  2. Hi Mom,

I hear you on the lack of sleep thing; it has been a constant theme for me over the last few weeks, and I find myself exhausted every day!

I talked to M last night, and wanted to know if it was good for us to come for a visit on Sunday, probably arriving in the middle of the afternoon? We will go see his mom around brunch, and then head up to you in the early afternoon (from there). We would plan to stay for dinner if that is okay, and then head back to MA from there….

I thought we could go low-key for dinner. Let’s not go out (unless you want to and then we are game!) But I definitely want to log some time with the puppies! I’m so excited to meet them!

    Love you lots and lots,

    Mandy

  3. Yea… sleep deprivation is the root of ALL evil! I’d be movin’ back to my own bed too. I can’t even imagine I would ever have moved OUT of it -LOL! I gained even MORE weight while I was away too — I have GOT to get myself back on track!

  4. The fountain of youth is good for everyone’s hair. 🙂

I would have worried the whole time too. I’m so glad you guys are doing well. I think of you and the puppies all through my day. Its funny how we become friends through the blogging world.

  5. Hope you sleep well tonight and from now on. Funny how we get so attached to our “little furry kids” that we think we need to help them out. I so understand how that goes, though. Be sure to get some rest for yourself. Getting back on your food regimin will be good, too.

  6. Glad to hear you are so happy with the puppies! I was away a couple of days so I have some catching up to do.
    Take good care of yourself!!

  7. That sounds very good to me….being home, where you want to be.
It’s been a rough time for you as well as Mommy Doggie, so I’m sure you’ll get back on track. You’ve come way too far not to.
Enjoy your moments and get some sleep!
