A Little Lobster, Anyone?

Sunday, Gail and I decided to do the Outlet Mall. I strapped on my comfortable walking shoes, and easy off and on clothes (quick change for trying on new things) and off we went. It was a cloudy day with a forecast of rain, so the place was mobbed! I found a good spot to park, and off we went. “Jockey”, “Liz Claiborne”, “Jones New York”, and “Easy Spirit” shoe stores. I was careful, thoughtful and got some very good deals!

By noon we were feeling tired and needed a place to sit down, so we went over to a Chinese Restaurant and ordered our meals. They were so yummy, and the green tea, hot and delicious!

After lunch we stopped at one more shop and then drove over to my favorite grocery store. Gail had hinted that she would love to have more Lobster, and when we saw this sign:

Aug 2

(taken with my handy, dandy little Canon Powershot)

I knew we were destined for boiled lobsters for our dinner!

I’m resting up a bit now before I tackle those ferocious beasts! You know it’s is so difficult to wrestle them into the pot! (lol!) I’m also cooking zucchini and summer squash from our garden.

The latest Greta news is, she has cut down on how much she can actually eat at a meal, so I will have to feed her a couple of times a day so she gets all that she needs. Usually Greta is a fierce eater and could devour an entire cow! However, now that she has growing babies there isn’t the room in her stomach.

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Lobster ! I love to eat lobster and the best one I have had was in Cape Cod, because it was a “lazy lobster”. It was all cut and neatly prepared on the plate ! No fights with pincers and forks ! that was wonderful ! I could never cook a lobster alive, I would feel like a murderer ! (if they feel something, which I doubt)
Happy to see that Baerbel is so well and Greta looks good too !

  2. How are you this morning?
I used to LOVE Lobster, but for some reason the last few times I had it, it just didn’t taste as good to me. It might just be the way it was cooked. I much prefer Shrimp at the moment! Love YOU, Mel

  3. Yummy! Lobster!

So M and I started a new diet today! I’m reluctantly happy about doing it–I guess resigned would be the best word! After our move to MA, I stopped exercising with the same frequency, and frankly, with our opposite eating, it is sometimes challenging for me. But alas, we are both committed to this diet, and are exercising more! And this time, I don’t have quite the mountain to climb as I did in my last diet.

So lose more weight than learn to maintain! 🙂

    Love you lots,

    Mandy

  4. Oh I love Lobster, especially Maine Lobster!! And I would like some Easy Spirit shoes too. My American shoes are almost warn out…I need to visit the states again. I’m almost out of secret solid deodorant too. My mom brought me some every time she visited. She passed away too years ago…but her deodorant remains.

  5. I know what you mean about getting out even if it is looking like rain…sometimes a girl just needs to shop. You have been cooped up for a long time with the babies and you deserve a break, before the next batch arrives 😉

  6. I never remember to think about what I’m wearing before I go clothes/shoe shopping. Then when I’m there I wonder “Why did I wear this?”
