Thursday Thirteen

thursday 13 TV

Today’s Thursday Thirteen are my current favorite TV shows. I used to be a real TV addict, but find that TV isn’t as good as it once was, so I watch a lot of cooking shows.

Okay, so here we go with my latest favorites shows on TV.

  1. NCIS. I love the entire cast. They all work so well playing off of each other and this show has been consistently good!
  2. NCIS

  3. The Big Bang Theory. This is another great ensemble cast. I think the appeal is that almost everyone I know has felt awkward at one time or another. These guys are likable in their awkwardness!
  4. From Lark Rise to Candleford“. Y’all know how much I love that one!
  5. larkrise

  6. Mike and Molly. It’s a new show on CBS and it’s got to be one of the sweetest, truest little love stories out there. Love the crazy Swoozie Kurtz as the Mama. She is hysterical!
  7. MIKE & MOLLY

  8. What Not To Wear. Yes, I am still a devotee of the series. I am constantly amazed at the transformations and I love Ted Gibson. He is a fabulous hair stylist!
  9. The Middle. A show about an ordinary family, in the middle of the country where almost nothing goes as it should. Patricia Heaton is great as the Mom, who struggles and just cannot seem to make it all come together.

  11. Desperate Housewives. I’m not quite the devotee I was in their early years, but I do still watch occasionally.

  13. Regis and Kelly! What will I do when I can’t start my day with Reeg? Their variety/talk show is just the right blend of lightness to start the day with.
  14. Live-With-Regis-And-Kelly

  15. Kathie Lee & Hoda! Another great pairing in the morning. It’s like sitting down with my girlfriends and having a good laugh!
  16. Hoda Kathie Lee

  17. All My Children. I’ve been watching the goings on in Pine Valley since I was in High School. I sure would miss it if my favorite Soap Opera got canceled.

  19. The Mentalist. A cute, and quirky escape. I love the characters and the writing is very good. Simon Baker is terrific. I had no idea he was an Australian!
  20. The-Mentalist

  21. Rules of Engagement. Another situation comedy that makes me laugh. I think I’m looking for laughter lately because the world is so full of depressing things.
  22. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

  23. Almost any show about travel. Most especially about Alaska, Australia or Asia. I have seen some of Alaska, but I so want to go back for more of a naturalist adventure! Australia and Asia are on my Bucket List. So Travel Shows are right up there on my list!
  24. What are you watching?

  1. Wow! πŸ™‚ We have a lot of shows in common, even though I only get to see them in reruns or on the internet. I love-love-love The Mentalist, and it’s one of the few shows I set time aside for (that one and Castle are at the top of my must-watch lists, actually).

I adore travel shows, too. I like to show programs about Italy to my family and friends so they can get an idea about where I live now. LOL! Well, sort of an idea, anyway. No-one’s done a show on my little town yet. (Yet!)

    Happy TT!

  2. We get many of these shows on our satelite TV too. We watch: Rules of Engagement, The middle, The big bang Theory a Law and Order. We love sitcoms.

  3. We like the Mentalist, but otherwise our choices are very different. We love Modern Family, Parenthood, American Idol, Survivor, Saving Grace, Traffic light. I do enjoy What not to wear and Say Yes to the Dress and all the food shows too! Love YOU, Mel

  4. We don’t watch a lot of shows regularly…I’ve never seen a few you mentioned. We do watch American Idol and Biggest Loser regularly. We watch Castle if we remember its on. I still love Regis and Kelly and try to be on the treadmill when they’re on which helps the time go faster.

  5. Have you seen Modern Family? It is SO funny!!! I can’t watch What Not To Wear after I went to a grief counselor and she told me I should watch it.

  6. My favorite drama right now is Flashpoint. Love, love, love that show. Of course, Amazing Race is a must see around our house, American Idol and Survivor are on my list too. I really enjoy The Mentalist. And I really like Top Chef. Since we got the new doggy, the Dog Whisperer has found it’s way into my daily watching. :v)

  7. I like the Mentalist, Navi CSI, Lie to me, Cold Case and my favourit series is King of Queens….
Volker often teases me that I am like “Mrs. Marple” πŸ™‚
I also love “Germany is searching for the next superstar” or “X-factor” (a similar show like superstar).
    Uschi

  8. We watch waaaay more television than anyone we know, but that’s why DVRs exist right? I could do three separate T13s, maybe four if I listed everything we currently watch from network shows to Food Network and HGTV. Maybe I’ll do them by genre one Thursday soon. πŸ™‚

    Happy TT,

  10. That’s a fun meme.
Big Bang – Mike & Molly – The Middle –
Desperate Housewives – Rules of Engagement are my favorites too. I have been watching All My Children almost from day one back in the 70’s. It was before
VCR/Beta. I actually got a radio with tv so I could hear some of it at work!!!
