It dawned on me the other day that when I am watching what I eat, and by this I mean, tracking the points and being careful of calories and fats, etc. not only do I lose weight, but I feel better. Here is what convinced me this was true.
- I was not careful at all in the month of December.
- I gained a total of five pounds during that time.
- That was on top of the other weight I gained after my Dad died.
- I can tell you that I felt really unwell during that time.
- Sluggish stomach and at times a really aching belly.
- At one point I thought it was my gallbladder!
- At New Years I was determined to get back on track with Weight Watchers.
- I started New Years morning, eating healthfully and tracking it all.
- I have been struggling, as I wasn’t sure it was working at all.
- I think it takes some time for your body to get back in shape.
- I went to class on Wednesday January 9th and I have lost two and a half pounds!
- I’m still struggling, but it will be a good month until I am feeling comfortable again.
- I so want to look like my after picture again!

Your after photo is lovely and a great inspiration for you and others. Keep on keeping on!
Keep on keepin’ on, as they say. I’m sure you’ll meet your goals again. It’s funny how much better we feel when we’re doing the right thing for ourselves, isn’t it?
Happy TT!
Good luck on your goal. I veer on and off vegan. I feel best eating that way yet somehow I end up eating sluggish-brain-making dairy again.
You’ll do it!!! You have strength and determination. I joined The Biggest Loser at work today. Ends in March, I’m determined! btw, I had to laugh that you posted a pic of a roasted turkey for this post!
I had an idea…why don’t you use a series of photos of you at the weight you want to be! That’d be cool! Or a series of photos as you lose. Even better! That way you’ll see the difference week to week.
Keep on following the WW way 🙂
Let me make a joke for all who wants to loose weight 🙂 : People don´t gain weight between Christmas Eve and Sylvester…..no they gain weight between Sylvester and Christmas Eve.
So it is good you keep on the WW diet. I know you are strong and you will get the weight you want.
Love Uschi
Here’s to meeting your goal, and keeping up the healthier practices. I’ve missed my daily 3-mile walks since the weather turned cold. It’s so much harder to motivate when exercise is confined to indoor activities.
Oh heck, we all did a no-no or two last month. It could have been worse.

Good for you! You look great!
It’s impossible to keep up a diet during Christmas and New Year, lol ! I didn’t even weigh myself, when my jeans are getting narrow, then I wonder if it’s not my belly which grew !
you do so well during the festive times…….stay strong, you motivate me!
