This is Hubby carrying 8 week old, “Baby Greta” down a street in Potsdam, Germany. I love this picture because of the architecture, and the automobiles. They really contrast each other. Old world achitecture, new world automobiles!
I love the contrast too… Those historic buildings were built by people of Netherland in the former centuries. During the GDR time those houses got almost destroyed because the governement of the GDR did not want to keep save them (like a lot of historic buildings in the GDR/ for example the buildings in Dresden etc.). Thank goodness the wall came down and the “Netherland area” of Potsdam got a new face and now it is an attraction for all tourists who come to Potsdam. Not to forget all other wonderful places here in Germany 🙂

Great shot. Lovely setting for the cars 🙂
Love the architecture. Wonderful picture.
My photo is up too.
Very cool buildings! And the streets! Wow…
Nice picture and beautiful looking buildings. The first thought I had was, doesn’t the colour go well with your blog! hehe
Wow that’s a cool shot!!
Oh I love this photo!! Now if I were that man….I’d be saying “Now where did I park?”
WARNING: Mine is posted.
great pic. I love the contrast also..my dog used to get tired of walking when he was little too. I played as well. Stacie
Love your photo and those buildings, too!
This scavenger hunt gives me the opportunity to see things I’d never see otherwise! =o)
Thanks for sharing!
Ahhh…look at little baby Greta. She’s so much cooler than those silly ol’ cars!
lol, I don’t know why, but I’m thinking of Paris Hilton carrying her chihuahua around…ROFLMAO!
Wish I’d thought to use a picture of a SmartCar from my Paris trip, dang it! There’s coming to the states next year, and I’m gettin’ one!
I knew it was Germany but couldn’t tell where just by looking at your pic! Nice photo! mine is posted. One is also from Germany 🙂
Wow! Very cool! I like the distinction too!
Wow, that is a great shot. Makes us realize that when those houses were originally built, there were no cars to worry about. Now the roads are clogged with cars. It’s the same in the old part of every city. No room for the cars.
Wonderful interpretation of this weeks theme. The achitecture is just wonderful!
Mine is up late! Have a Super Saturday!
you’re right- it does have great contrast! have a great weekend!
I agree with you. Nice architecture and cars do match. Streets are clean too.
Thanks for dropping by.
The architecture is beautiful, indeed. Goes well with the line of traffic.
Wonderful shot!
Beautiful pic! Looks like a beautiful place to visit too!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
I like that, especially how the reds of the brick contrast with the silvery-grays of the cars. I love architecture- the older the better! PS- we have two very spoiled rotten Dackels ourselves.
I love photos that mix yesterday & today.
Have a fabulous 4th
