Tuesday was full of action.
It started in the basement with a fun filled morning of ironing. I always promise myself that I will iron stuff as they come out of the dryer. The trouble is, I’m lazy. I hang the shirts up and then leave them to be ironed “at a future time”. Lately the “future time” kept going on and on until this morning. It was either iron or my clothes rack was going collapse under the weight and fall to the floor. So after coffee and breakfast I headed to the basement.
I always think the basement is a cool place. I was wearing shorts and a tank top and there I was standing at the ironing board in my nice cool basement sweating like a race horse. I even had to stop and wipe my brow several times to keep from dripping on the clothes.
Was this ironing sweat or another hot flash? I’m not sure, but I can tell you it was uncomfortable!
After we had lunch I decided to sit an watch “All My Children” before I started my afternoon project. The soap was pretty good today, although I think that Jackson should just leave Jonathan and Lily alone. Apparently I am the only one who thinks they make a nice couple.
After the soap, I got out the vegetables that were soaking to make the Mustard Pickles.
So it’s been a productive day and I can go to bed tonight and feel happy that I actually got all of these things done. Especially the Soap Opera watching. I mean ironing and pickle making are good, but the Soap watching? Yeah, there’s the important stuff, right?
The first picture is nice! I am not a pickle person tho 😉 Glad you got a lot done!
Yes MB, I’d say you got your priorities straight. LOL
Pam
I wish I could watch soaps again but with working, there just isn’t time! Good pictures too!
Those pickles look SO yummy! Have you ever thought about taking them to the markets to sell them? You’d probably make a bundle!
One of these day’s I’m showing up for some pickles…You’re descriptions of how you do it always makes me soooo hungry…..They look great
Hi Mom,
You know, I’m not sure that I’ve ever had a mustard pickle–and the truth is, I’m not sure that I would like them (I don’t like mustard)… But, glad that you got so much done! Things have been busy on my end too, with work, and getting ready for my roommate this weekend, as well as the benefit (and planning for my fantasy football league)!! Hope you have a good day!
Love you,
Mandy
I never cared for soap operas, except, of course, Dark Shadows 🙂
one word for those pickles: YUM!
Basements, even my own, scare me no end. I spend as little time down there as possible. Critters, killers with hooks for hands, anything could be lurking down there.
…Plus, I hate doing laundry…
Hi
Soap watching is highly important;) I’m actually a GH fan, tape it, watch it in the evening after work, fast forwarding through a lot. I check in on AMC now and then, on a rainy day off. I like Lily, but I have to tell you, with 25 years experience with kids with autism spectrum disorder, she is nothing like any of the them. Even the most independent, highest functioning of our kids are much more disabled than Lily. She doesn’t actually seem disabled at all. Just my 2cents worth. “Tad Martin’s” parents live in Chatham, I’ve seen the man himself many times over the years, enjoying the peace and serenity (on the off season that is). He actually is much nicer looking in person, especially when he isn’t trying to look younger than he is. Funny how that works, isn’t it? Have a good one, Michele
mmm pickles!!
I gotta say I am not fond of basements either — never have been. Don’t know why it isn’t like I was bound and gagged as a child in a basement or anything.
The only soap I like to watch now is Rockstar .. every season the same drama but still I am hooked! LOL
