This is a picture of me the day after my eye surgery in August.
You can read about my 5 year long battle to regain my vision, here. I truly did not think I had a chance to regain my vision, but Dr. W. gave me hope.
Happily, on August 22nd my vision was restored in a very delicate operation. I feel like the luckiest girl on earth!

You look great for just undergoing eye surgery in that photo! I’m so glad that it all went well. I’ve had three eye surgeries (in my youth) and the thing I remember most about them was how itchy they made my eyes. *smile*

I am so glad that the surgery was successful…and boy, that sure looks like one, big, boo-boo. This photo is so meaningful, because it tells a real story, and one that inspires hope. I will be thinking about you & Greta today…Good Luck at the Show!!

So sorry to hear of the ordeal you had to go through – but wonderful news that your vision could be corrected. We often take our sight for granted and do not realize what a precious gift it is.
I had acetone splashed in my eye about 4 years ago. It was awful…it took a year to recover…my vision constantly fluctuated up and down the diopter scale, suffered headaches, blurry vision…to this day, my vision grew worse in both eyes because of it…I can only see well with contacts. I am thankful though that I still have sight and try to see the beauty in the world as much as possible….
You’re a strong courageous woman and this photo is a testament to that!!

That eplains that. I wondered if your makesup was a little out of place.
I did several pictures for mine (that is finally up). I was going to get out my LASIK video from when I had my eyes done but I thought people would hate me for showing the fist step of LASIK. I stayed a little mroe safe and very unusual for a change.
Awww…little Greta is nursing her mommy back to good eye health. You just so so great considering what you’d just gone through.
