Autumn In New Hampshire

It was just an amazing day for pictures of the lake. When we got up, Hubby noticed the reflections hitting the water. He encouraged me to get dressed and go out to take a few pictures. I jumped into my clothes, and shoes and headed out the door.

It was so quiet and cool and calm. Just as I got to the shoreline the sun poked through some clouds and hit the hillside across the lake. A birds flew overhead and I was in awe of the nature around me.

I looked back up the hill to see our home sitting there. How pretty, I thought, up on the hill overlooking all of this. How lucky we are to have this home, and how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.

I was stopped from my tranquil reverie by the barks of Fritz, the wonder dog, who was watching me from out front windows. So, climbing back up the hill to our house, I was once again enveloped in the golden glow of Autumn in New Hampshire, and I smiled.

  1. Ahhhh, thanks for the mini vacay…

Stunning photos. And so nice to hear someone be grateful. It does a body good.

    smooches,

  2. The blog has not been logged for some time… but I’ve been over your site and had to say, HUZZAH. We have a 16 month-ish old standard wirehair born in Germany (we lived there 3 yrs). I perused all your pics… apparently you were in Germany to certify (?). Have yet to go through your entire blog. I saw great puppies, black eyes, knee (?) surgery, great apples, and figs (?)

Would love to talk (hear “you teach me about”) wirehairs. We’ve had smooths.

    Thanks for listening!

  3. Those are fabulous pictures MB!

The colours and reflections in the calm water are wonderful. You do have such a lovely home and view. It must help to keep things peaceful in your life.

    Hi to Greta and Fritz!!

  4. Not to mimic everyone else, but those are some gorgeous pictures Mom! I actually printed 2 on the color printer at work, cut them out, and hung them on my corkboard. Just beautiful.

Not having a beauty day like that today, at least not down here in MA. It is rainy, and dreary!

I’ll give you a buzz over the weekend. I head out Sunday afternoon to VA for a training session until Tuesday night….

    Talk soon,

    Love,
    Mandy

PS: Any hints from Greta? When can you find out for sure?
