Power Shopping & Lobsters

Halloween was a busy day for me. I used the day to shop. Mmmmm. My very favorite type of sport. I’ve been called a “Power Shopper”. True. Given a deadline and a list of people to buy for I can get the job done in half the time of most mere mortals. Today was just that kind of day.

I was blessed with a beautiful day. Bright sunshine, warm temperatures and great sales. So off I went to enjoy myself. Which is exactly what I did. Osh Gosh B’Gosh, Liz Claiborne, Wal-Mart and grocery shopping too. All of this was done in less than three hours with everything on my list acquired!

It’s quite funny, but I truly am obsessed with Greta and her pregnancy. I realized this when I was leaving Wal-Mart and the alarm went off and I found myself telling the security lady all about Greta, and even showing her pictures!

So, what do you think?

As I finished up my shopping I looked at my cell phone and realized that Hubby would be about finished at his health club, where he is doing rehab on his knees. I called his phone but got no answer. Oh well. I no sooner had hung up, but my cell phone rang and it was Hubby! I invited him to lunch and he accepted!

We met at a Chinese Buffet nearby and enjoyed a quick lunch and conversation and then we said good-bye. He was off to the dentist and I was off to the Vets to get Greta’s food and then to the Post Office to get the mail.

When I arrived at home Greta met me at the door much the same as she did yesterday. Happy, but a tad frantic.

For our Halloween dinner I made boiled Maine lobster and asparagus! Yum!

Everyone can come on over for some Halloween candy. We didn’t have even one trick or treater this year!

And how was your Halloween?

  1. Stuffed Haddock. Seafood Halloween for everyone! hahaha. But then I had too much candy becausse no trick or treaters came and now I have a belly ache.

  2. Awww…no Halloweeners???

What’s up with that? Are you too rural or something? Not even Emily?

We had some. I got home a 1845 or 6:45pm and asked Bill if he was handing out candy and he said, no one has rang the bell. I told him they might, if he turned on the porch light….doofus.

Yes, you are obsessed…as I would be too.

  3. Mine was so depressing! Last year NOBODY came around and we had zillions of candies. This year I had to turn away the kids who came by because I had no zillions of candies. I didn’t even have A candy. 🙁 I felt soooo bad!! 🙁

(though we typically don’t celebrate Halloween over here)

  4. I also had 0 trick-or-treaters! I was surprised, being in a condo I thought I might get some visitors. I brought the candy I had to work, so other people can eat it! 🙂
    Have a great day!
    Love,

  5. There is no trick or treating in Spain. We didn’t have lobster last night (bummer!) but it is a holiday today, Mr Mar is doing some repair job in the main bathroom which is taking longer than planned… we leave to Hamburg, Germany tomorrow until sunday. Not looking forward to the low temperatures they are having over there right now but I will be seeing dear old friends and doing some shopping, that’s always fun, regardless of the weather. Have a wonderful visit with your sister and family!

  6. Can I send you my Christmas shopping list? LOL!

Halloween was hectic but fun. We must have had over 100 trick-or-treaters this year. We actually ran out of candy!

  7. OK, did I read that correctly ??? You were so distracted you walked out of WalMart without going through the checkout? Now that would be distracted.

Hey, we had no Trick-or-Treaters here, but its not so popular in Germany. Probably will set the candy out at the office tomorrow. Maine Lobster sounds like a winner for dinner.
