Oh My Aching Back! Part 2

Yes, my back is still bad. In fact I’m getting a little testy because, well, lack of sleep will do that to you. I seem to sleep for about 45 minutes then wake with the back pain, and then the cycle begins again.

Hubby stepped in today and told me to call the doctor. I’m sort of stubborn that way and until something totally stops working or falls off I tend not to go to the doctor’s office. However, after 5 days of little or no restful sleep, I decided he was right and I should go.

Hubby himself had back surgery years ago, so when he spoke to me about this, I really had to listen.

Meanwhile, I have four wonderful and skilled nurses.

The pups not only are trying to nurse me back to health, but they are amusing me at the same time. Hubby has been wonderful helping me with various household and doggy chores, and I am trying to be as quiet as I can so I don’t make things any worse.

Hubby takes me in the morning, and I sure hope the doctor will have some good news for me, like “Ta-Da, you are well”! Now wouldn’t that be nice?

  1. I am glad your hubby stepped in… you shouldn’t have the back pain going on for such a long time without having someone look at it.

    Feel better!!

  2. Hi MB – It’s been awhile! J mentioned that your back was acting up and I wanted to come over and say I hope it is better soon. I have had a neck ache for umm going on 3 weeks now and have been trying to get the right amount of attention from my doctor and find a good chiropractor (I think I achieved both today).

I hope you doctor is able to help you. I will have to make sure to come by more often! My blog changed at least for now – a coworker accidentally found my blog so I had to change it.

  3. Poor you ! I also think for once you should listen to your man ! One week suffering is enough !
I only miss the white little hats on your nurses heads, lol !

  4. Chances are if your husband was suffering like you are, you’d tell him to get himself to the doctor, wouldn’t you? So it makes sense to treat yourself as well as you would treat others, though we women tend to be bad at that. Hope it goes well!

  5. You will have to let me know how it goes…. On a related note, I twisted my ankle pretty badly in vball last night!

    Let me know!

    Love you,

    Mandy

  6. Agreed, if the roles were reversed, then you WOULD tell him to go to the doctors, so why WOULDN’T you go?? Hmmm??

I hope that the visit went well, and that you are getting some relief AND sleep. Also, try not to let this make you ‘trip off the wagon’ so to speak with the diet… Keep going girl!!!
