Sunday was a nice, fairly quiet day, with the exception of our trip out to the Chinese Buffet for lunch. Sundays they have King Crab legs on the buffet and it is really wonderful! So off we went. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not overburdened with customers. So we ate and enjoyed and when we were done we left for home.
Hubby decided to take the scenic route across a hill around a lake. Normally this wouldn’t be bad, but with temperatures in the 50’s and all the melting we have had, we are smack dab in the middle of “MUD SEASON”!!! We were driving along a scenic road when we found a sea of mud in front of us. The worst part was, we had no place else to go but forward. It took us the better part of an hour to work our way home though the muddy roads of central New Hampshire before we found tarred roads. We stopped for a full car wash before returning home. Was I a happy girl!
One truly precious thing happened today. I was getting dressed while Hubby was skiing and Kimmie was waiting for me. I opened the door quietly to check on her and what did I see? There Kimmie was, sitting in my chair with the dogs all around her and she was reading the Dick and Jane books to them. It was just the sweetest thing ever.
Hahha I love your name for it! Sounds like it would be fun to roll around it 😉
Cute scene with Kimmie!
I would have loved to see pictures of you in the mud, lol !
I agree with Gattina, where was your camera, lol!!
Good thing you got out! Those mud monsters are scary!
my truck was pretty muddy too, lucky for me hubby is a firefighter and has keys to the fire hall, so we pulled up in there and washed the truck in the comfort of the warm hall.
I totally love spring, muck and all!!
