Mommy’s Boy

Last night, after he’d been “forgotten” in our bedroom when we went to the big city, I realized that Arnie was among the missing, once again. I did a walk-a-bout and located him in our bedroom, all curled up and sleeping.

That’s when it dawned on me that this often happens. Arnie, loves to be in bed. Our bed!

This morning, after a long night of rest in my bed, I looked for him again. What did I find?

This totally beautiful and adorable face.

You know Arnie is our cuddler. He likes to curl up (especially in bed) and laze. Fritz has him trained now to actually go into the bedroom and go to bed. It’s the funniest thing in the whole world.

You see, the two girls always wait for me to go to bed, but my boys? Well, they just go on in and go to bed all on their own.

I wonder why that is? Are men just inclined to go to bed when they’re tired? Hubby certainly isn’t. He usually falls asleep in his chair and quite often I have to get up and wake him in order to get him to come to bed!

Ah the world is full of these mysteries!

  1. My wife would be inclined to agree and tell you that many hubbies do that very same thing. We love our chairs and the pets follow suit, what can I say?

  2. Very cute pic of Arnie, and I love the full length pic of you from your trip to Boston! You looked hot!! šŸ™‚

Went into the office yesterday, though am working from home the next two days (and told my boss I would be working minimally, as I still needed to get some rest). She was supportive of that–thankfully! I have a doc appt with Dr. C–my infectious disease doc today, so will let you know how that goes!

    Thanks for your note!

    Love you lots,

  3. I think it’s just a dog thing. Soxy is up on my bed right now, even though she has 4 beds of her own. She definitely knows that “to bed” sends her upstairs at a fast rate, although she does wait at the top of the steps for some nuzzling before we fight for space in the bed. Ah, to have a dog’s life.

  4. And who can blame him?? If I were him I would be curled up in the big bed whenever I could get away with it. Looks like a good way to live for me, and of course he is Mommy’s boy. He knows who cuddles best!

  5. I think that is probably the cutest dog picture ever! And before Dennis had Mom to put to bed at night (yes! THAT is HIS job!) I had to wake him up from snoring in his recliner every single night. Now Mom wakes him up from his recliner and tells him to go to bed — then he drags her with him! LOL!
