Four Days

Four days!

I simply can’t believe it!

Four days and we will be stepping onto our ship, the Caribbean Princess and heading out for a week of rest and relaxation!

I’m fairly organized, but I still need Hubby to select the shirts and slacks he wants to bring. I also need to get the suitcases down from the attic and start to figure out which clothes go in what bag.

Four days!

It seemed to get here so quickly. Actually the last year has flown by. Yet, in the last year, so much has changed as well.

I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I thought perhaps it would bother me at least a little turning 50, but today I realized that I feel quite good about it.

You know, at 50 you have lived long enough to know a little about life, you also have lived long enough to know that there is still a lot to learn.

Joining Weight Watchers has helped me to learn so much about myself and how to deal with life’s ups and downs, with things other than pound size bags of M & M’s!

I watched myself emerge from my old chubby self to the new, fit and fabulous 50! Ha!

Four Days!

I’m looking forward to the quiet time spent with Hubby in the warm tropics. I want to hold his hand and feel the wind gently blow through my hair. (No hurricanes, please!) I want to walk on sandy beaches, feel the sun kiss my SPF-50 slathered body, and the warm water as I swim.

Yes, in only Four Days the fun begins!

    Enjoy the time.
I am so envious. Would love to go away now, especially to the sea. I LOVE the sea!!

  2. You are going to have SO much fun!!! Nothing like being immersed in warm ocean water when it’s so chilly at home (not that it’s been really cold lately).

  3. I am so thrilled for you! Thrilled that you will be having a wonderful vacation and thrilled that you are fit and happy at 50! You deserve all the very best!!! Love YOU, Mel

  4. Just catching up on your last few blog posts. So excited for you going on holiday, turning 50 (the new 30, they tell me) and doing it all as a slim, confident knockout. Have a (low-cal) drink for me!

  5. Tomorrow it will be three days! I’m very happy you and your husband are getting to go on such a lovely vacation.
Turning 50 wasn’t so bad, but I did have a pause at 60. 🙂 However old I get it beats the heck out of the alternative!

  6. Take it from someone older (a few months;), 50 is really pretty good, especially for those of us who look years younger;)

  7. Ahhh… it sounds so lovely, so lovely… *dreaming away*

Some day, I simply must take a cruise too!

I hope you get fabulous fun on your trip – or I’m sure you will. Enjoy and fill it with new experiences and lots of laughter.

  8. Oh goodness yes! I NEVER worried about fifty! As a matter of fact, I was sOOOOOOO excited about turning 50 I could hardly stand it! I just KNEW 50 was gonna be good! Fifty is FABULOUS! And YOU will do it with FLAIR!
