Dogs, Cameras & More

Last night was a cold, clear night and when I went out with Anneliese I saw the moon and how beautiful it looked. Many of you know how to take great night pictures with your cameras, but I have never had much luck. Until now. Remember I bought Hubby a new camera for Christmas? Well, I’m having a great time with it….and it takes great night shots easily!

Anneliese watched me quite intently.

During the day today I practiced a little more with it and both Anneliese and Arnie were great models.

Anneliese loves to dig in the snow and sometimes tunnel underneath.

You see how Arnie was able to get the snow just so on his beard so that he looks simply adorable!

I was able to get out to the grocery store today and get the last few things I need before the next snow storm, which is forecast for tomorrow.

Hubby is doing well. We’ve been watching movies, and reruns of NCIS and keeping busy. One movie we watched was “True Grit” with John Wayne. That was a great movie, with fabulous cinematography.

It looks like tomorrow I will have to conquer the recycling center. It’s not my favorite place to go, but I think I should get the trash dumped before the snow comes.

Wish me luck!

  1. Ahhhhhh yes! NOW I see … you bought that camera for HUBBY! MmmmHmmmm…. Man! You guys are just getting PLOWED with snow this year! Is it always like that up there? That moon is gorgeous — I witnessed it down here last night too – and even THOUGHT about trying to get a picture. And that’s where it stayed – a thought! It was far too cold out to play around with 40 different adjustment settings… I’ll do summer moons!

  2. I was just catching up with your blog and I saw the news about both Jack and you. How frightening on both counts. My thoughts are with you both for many more years of continued good health.

  3. It looks as if you have much more snow than we have, it hasn’t snowed ever since and now everything in the city looks so dirty and our little street too. Tomorrow I will post pictures of our street etc in the snow, yesterday I did some how it looks now ! Awful ! I am really fat up !
Your moon picture is good ! It’s very difficult to get a good night shot. I did one of the moon which came out very nicely too look here http://gattina-keyholepictures.blogspot.com/2009/01/thursday-challenge-dark.html. Nice to hear that hubby is doing fine !

  4. I meant to write you a note. πŸ™ Sorry. New job this week and I got so busy and have barely been reading blogs….I hope he continues on the road to recovery πŸ™‚
