Movies, Books, & Remarkable People

Hubby and I decided to take some time and go off to see “Captain Phillips”. All I can say is that I was literally on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film! The movie is two hours and fifteen minutes long, and usually I’m not one to want to commit to that much time in an uncomfortable seat, but this movie went so fast, that it did not seem like I was in the theater that long!

I don’t go to the movies a lot, but this year there have been a few that I have actually wanted to see. As well as a few books too! I must finish up the book I am reading now so I can start a biography of a writer I truly admire. He is Pulitzer Prize winning author, and has led a truly remarkable life after he was paralyzed in a diving accident, in his first year of medical school.

He went on to finish medical school and eventually became a Board Certified Psychiatrist, before embarking on a writing career. A truly amazing man
