FOOD

Food

A few years ago, as I was leaving to visit Uschi in Germany, Hubby’s parting words to me were, “Don’t eat too much!” (he said this because he knows of my love for German food).

Well, the food was great and it became a joke, whenever we sat down for a meal, we took a picture and emailed it back to Hubby at home. This is a small collage of that trip and the food, glorious food, that I ate!

**Note to all** This is a true story. Not even the names have been changed to protect the guilty!

  1. Ahh, food. It’s what I need right now. Poopy evening for me.

You on the other hand, are cute as a bug.

I bet you are taller than me though and will squish me like a bug if I call you that again, huh?

  2. Such a wonderful layout, your collage is so nice. I just took my brother for German food on his birthday a couple of weeks ago….Ohhh…it was so heavenly and there was a live accordian player. The atmosphere was so relaxing.

    Mine is up!

  3. Wonderful collage (love the way you did it!) and it looks like the food and the company were just perfect!! food tastes specially good on vacation, doesn’t it? happy saturday…don’t eat too much, lol!

  4. That is so funny about sending back the photos to your husband. My hubby said the same thing to me when I left for vacation in the States this summer! LOL

I love the collage effect of the photos. Great job!

  5. It looks so good! I love all the pictures.
One of the pictures looks like it was taken at a different time than the others?? Uschi’s hair is longer. LOL!

  6. I haven’t had that much german food. Tell me, does a lot of it involve vinegar? I don’t like vinegar too much, but I will at least try it once! 🙂

  7. I love your collage! I’ve never been a big fan of German food but then again, I don’t know if I’ve ever eaten authentic German food more than once in my life lol!
Have a super Saturday! Mine’s up, too 🙂

  8. Yum, I don’t “do” much meat, so I’d skip that, BUT the potatoe dishes are so good. My friend Adel (do you know her Maribeth, last name then was Mrusek) is German and her grandmother lived with them. Her tradition for us neighborhood kids on the last day of school and the day before the first day of school was an apple and potato (not together) pancake party. It was all to die for, I can taste it now! Michele

  9. Great collage! German food is awesome! MMM. I’m originally from Cincinnati and we had some great German restaurants…with the German background of the area…I sure miss them!

    Take care!!

    Mine’s up finally too

  10. Oh I know how you feel about German food!
When I lived in Germany we would hit a local restaurant every Sunday.
I also like the fact that the big cities like Berlin have a large number of restaurants of international fare.
I believe I had the best of every cuisine in Germany!

  11. Oh, what a wonderful collage :).Well, I have agree with you – German food is pretty good. Maybe we can meet at TN’s house and I can cook for the both of you a wonderful German dish *grin*…Would be fun, wouldn’t it?

  12. What a great story!!

I LOVE the way you made a collage–what software are you using? I’m lusting after photo enhancing software.

Thanks for stopping by my Hunt pic earlier!

  13. When my husband and I went away last year, I was always taking photos of the food we ate – he thought I was a bit odd! Great collage 🙂
