Late Autumn 2008

It was another beautiful day here in central New Hampshire. Bright blue skies, no wind, and on the lake the water was so still it was as clear as glass. I glanced out the front windows and saw this beauty, so I grabbed my camera and headed down the hill to the beach where I could take a few pictures of the leaves reflected in the water.

It’s been a long, beautiful Autumn and I have enjoyed every day that we have had the beautiful colored leaves on our trees. I know that soon they will fall and the trees will appear as little more than skeletons against the gray skies of winter.

Until then I plan to stare, to watch, to enjoy each day. Here is a short montage featuring the pictures that I took. I hope you enjoy it.

  1. Morning Mom,

Those really are great pictures! It was a beautiful day yesterday! M & I went to look at two places last night. They were both in Arlington–the first was nice, but way TOO SMALL (and too expensive, especially for how small it was!) The second place, another realtor had taken the key, so we didn’t get to see the inside, though will likely try again later in the week. We have appts to be looking at places every day this week, so I expect our planned move to be right around the corner!

    Have a great day today!

    Love you lots,

    Mandy

  2. Beautiful pics and scenery. Great music-another JD-just as I like it. Had to close the windows this AM-temp is 52 and high to be upper 60’s. Tomorrow low 40’s. Cold for us. Our fall colors are also starting-trees with the red/orange seed pods are evident and things are just drying-not as lush as in summer. Carol
