Okay, I’m trying to knit. Usually I get half way into a project and stop. Really, I am so bad about actually finishing a project. A few times I thought about loading up my car with all my yarn and heading to my sister’s house where I will give her all my unfinished projects! She is the one in the family who sticks to it and actually finishes a project!
I digress.
I found a pattern for a very easy long knit scarf. It’s 12 stitches on size 10 needles and it’s simply the garter stitch. For those of you who do not knit, this means that you use one stitch called the knit stitch all through the pattern.
I can do this!
The scarf is a raspberry, variegated mix yarn and it is fuzzy and soft. I sure hope it comes out well because, I would like to actually finish something and have it look good.
I should probably join the local knitting group, called the “Knotty Knitters”. They meet once a week and could probably whip me into shape. Or is that knit me into shape! lol! I know, bad joke!
Arnie was lying on the sofa today and I watched him arrange his pillow, get his bone and then settle himself down chewing it. I had to laugh because he looked so darn cute as he lay there, like the little Prince that he is!
The weekend is nearly over, where did the time go? At least this is my week to keep things low key. No big meetings, and no appointments that I have to go to. Good time to knit, yes?
Starting to knit when Winter is nearly done… Does this mean it ‘might’ be ready for NEXT winter by chance??? lol
This is awesome… what a lovely color your scarf is going to be! I am here cheering for you. You can do it! π
The scarf is looking good so far. I love the color! Hope you finish it. I have many unfinished projects too. But no one to bring them too…. π
Oh wow, Maribeth, that scarf does indeed look awesome, as another commenter wrote. It will be lovely when it’s done. ~~joining that group actually sounds like fun.
As for Arnie, that is a darling picture…of a darling little guy!
hugs,
linda
Wow, I think your knitting looks great! I briefly tried to learn…very briefly tried. It seems I haven’t the patience. It didn’t help that the cats went nuts over all that yarn. Good luck with your scarf!
I love the color! Keep up the good work! I have been reading a few books so the knitting is sitting there waiting, but I will get back to it soon for sure! I love doing it! Happy knitting! Love YOU, Mel
With a little good will the scarf will be finished when it is 30Β°C outside and you can finally wear it, lol !
I prefer to buy finished products I am far too lazy and impatient.
Love the color!! I haven’t knitted in ages, the last one who dared to wear my knitted sweaters was my 5 yo…who is now 21 π
Ohhhhhhhh LOOK at you! AmberStar will be SO proud!!! I’M so proud! I undid what little knitting I had done! One of these days I’m going to use that yard to CROCHETE something! I will NEVER be a knitter… I know this in my bones! lol!
yarn… not yard! I might crochete my yard though… in green!
Well at least you can knit, I am terrible at knitting. I have possibly the worlds longest scarf on my needles because I don’t know how to finish hehehe. So whenever I do get in the mood to try again I just continue on the same scarf. Hope yours is more successful.
